CAMPER-IN-TRAINING DAY 2017
I simply love this day.
I love showing off camp to the over 80 prospective families who walked through our gates today.
I love hearing our current campers and staff greeting all of our campers-in-training and their families.
I love watching the new families get a small taste of life at Camp Louise.
I love seeing the child who was a bit apprehensive at the beginning of the day come running up to their parent at the end of day with smiles saying how much fun they had!
I love the friendships that are instantly made. What we say is 100% true – camp friends absolutely are friends for life!
I love sharing our stories and learning other people’s stories.
I love seeing parents who went to Camps Airy & Louise reminiscing about their camp days and hoping/praying their children love camp as much as they did!
I love watching our campers-in-training get mail at the post office after lunch from their parents.
I love hearing our current campers and staff gushing with pride over how much they simply love Camp Louise!
I love watching the parents participate in activities.
I love seeing the campers-in-training go down our waterslides – shouting with pure joy!
I love the smiles we get at the end of a successful CIT Day. And this was one of my favorites of the day – A camper came up to me as she and her mom were heading out. She stopped me and said, “Camp Louise is so much fun! I don’t ever want to leave!”
It just doesn’t get any better than that!
