Camper-in-Training day is a great way for prospective campers and their parents to come and spend a day with us here at Camp Airy or Camp Louise!
- Who: Prospective Camp Families
- What: Camper-in-Training Day
- Where: Our beautiful camps – Camp Airy (in Thurmont, Maryland) and Camp Louise (in Cascade, Maryland)
- When: Sunday, July 13, 2014 9am – 3:30 pm
This day is guaranteed to be filled with fun, laughter, action, and friendships, and is a super introduction to what we hope will be the start of many, many summers as an Airy/Louise camper (and who knows, maybe even counselor!).
Your camper will be taking part in a full day of camp: swimming, playing ball, doing crafts – whatever may be in the schedule of the group they are assigned. Given that, it is incredibly important that your camper be dressed accordingly. T-shirts, shorts and socks and sneakers are standard apparel for the day. Be sure to bring a swimsuit, towel and sunscreen. (And if it's a little rainy that day, bring a sweatshirt or jacket – just in case! This program goes rain or shine!!). Also, if your camper requires any type of medication throughout the day, please be sure to bring it along – parents will be carrying and giving the medications.
Parents of campers will need to stay at camp for the full day. We'll be offering parent tours and answering any question you may have about camp. Parents will be eating lunch at their own table and having fun in camp as well. Parents should bring a swimsuit and towel - the pool may be on your schedule! It should really be a fun day for all of us! Our plan is to keep parents separate from their campers so you can all get a real feel for what it's like to be an Airy/Louise camper.
